The largest living space in the mansion and housing the original dining room, this apartment is spectacular. With its original adorned ceiling detail, stone carved columns and a meticulously restored grand fireplace. This apartment showcases all that Stone Cross was when it was originally built. The rooms separated by the original listed flooring, are a good size and have all the amenities for your home away from home.
"Beautiful property, close to Ulverston town and main shops. We had our own private terrace and it was very peaceful. The property itself is breathtaking with incredible living space. A real gem. We will definitely be coming back again."
"The house is very impressive and the entrance hall exceptionally so! The apartment was beautifully restored with many original features kept. The beds were very comfortable and it was so peaceful! The kitchen facilities were excellent with plenty of crockery pans etc and there was a very generous welcome package. We liked the cupboard in the communal hall which was full of games for all ages and kept our granddaughter very busy. We were very lucky with the weather and had just one day of rain so had some wonderful days out visiting the Lakes Aquarium, Conishead Priory and Ulswater amongst other places. We come to the Lakes regularly to visit relatives and will hopefully be able to stay here again."
"Stone Cross Mansion is a beautiful property! A very special place to spend time in, we couldn't fault it at all. Our apartment was so spacious and stylish, and every little thing has been considered. The grounds and setting are also stunning, and there were always staff around tending to the site and keeping the environment beautifully in order. The location is great too. So convenient for access to the Lakes, all useful amenities within walking distance, and Ulverston itself is a lovely market town with so many shops and eateries. I would not hesitate to recommend both the property and the location."
